AT&T Yahoo! (SBC) Error Message

Problem:
AT&T Yahoo! (SBC) Error Message, "The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL," Appears at Startup.

AT&T (SBC) Error Message Appears Due to an Overwritten DLL.

If you have an AT&T Yahoo! (SBC) high-speed Internet connection, the following SmartBridge Alert may appear at startup (Figure 1).

This error is caused by a missing component in the PSAPI.dll file which could have been overwritten by various means including a program installation or update.

NOTE: The affected AT&T Yahoo! program components include MotiveSB.exe and SR.exe.

Resolution:
Edit the AT&T Yahoo! (SBC) PSAPI.dll file in Microsoft® Windows® XP.

1. Click the Start button, and click Search.
The Search Results window appears.
2. Click All files and folders.
3. Type psapi.dll in the All Or Part of the File Name field.
4. Click More Advanced Options, and make sure that the Search Hidden Files and Folders box is checked.
5. Click Search.
6. The search results appear in the right-hand pane. (Figure 1)

7. Right-click the psapi.dll file in the c:\Program Files\SBC Self Support Tool\SmartBridge folder.
8. Click Rename.
9. Type psapi.old, and press the key.
10. Close the Search Results window.
11. Restart the computer.
The error message no longer appears.
