Problem:
When the user launch Internet Explorer or Firefox, the page takes a lot of time to load or the page or "Page Cannot be Displayed" error occurs.
Discussion:
The solution provided below works only if the following conditions are met:
The system can ping the website’s IP address but not the domain name.
Web browser pulls up the website when the site’s IP address is typed in the address bar.
Resolution:Use OpenDNS's DNS Server as an alternate to prove that the problem is with the ISP.
To do this, open the Local Area Connection Properties or Wireless Network Properties and manually assign the DNS server address below:
Primary DNS Server: 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS Server: 208.67.220.220
